Founded 2022
In April 2020 I discovered that a scammer had stolen my photos of my kittens and was using them to scam someone out of money.
I immediately wrote a blog post warning the public about these people and gave some tips on How to Avoid Being Scammed When Buying a Maine Coon.
Since then, the scammers have continued to get smarter and savvier, using different methods to attract kitten buyers with the sole goal of collecting money and then disappearing.
Reporting these people to Facebook, Hosting Companies or even the Internet Fraud department doesn’t stop them. They continue to build empires and work their way around rules to steal money from people.
Verified Cat Breeders is the Solution
This movement was formed to help the community of Pedigree Cat breeders and the buyers of these kittens feel protected from scammers.
We’ll continue to build our database of verified cat breeders until we eventually phase out the scammers and everyone knows to check this website before they buy!

Our Community
We’ve watched breeders get angry, upset, and really try to put an end to online scammers to no avail. That’s when we decided to do something about it and offer a place for buyers to feel safe.
The verified cat breeders listed on this website have all been confirmed to be legitimate breeders of the breed they’re listed under. While we can’t confirm the ethics or the business practices of these breeders, we can confirm that they ARE, in fact , Pedigree Cat Breeders.
